Dimosthenis Prodromou

Dimosthenis Prodromou is a Greek visual artist. He studied Fine Art & Moving Image at the University of East London and then he continued his studies with a Master in the conservation of contemporary art and curating exhibitions.
For the last ten years he is creating collages. His artwork consists of an assemblage of printed papers or sometimes fabric. He usually incorporates paper cuts from fashion magazines that illustrate textures, patterns, letters or solid color to construct portraits or abstract forms. The papers are glued together on canvas in such a way to be able to form depth and movement into his figures.
His collages raise that medium to a whole new level of sophistication and modernity. The sensitivity of portraiture, combined with the graphic impact of the papers makes these works so impactful today.
His works are found in collections in Greece, Europe and the United States.
He is also a member of the Hellenic Chamber of Arts.
